About Doctor Jen

My Story

I grew up in Victoria and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with distinction from the University of Victoria. After working in the medical research field and volunteering around Vancouver Island and in South America, I returned to school and went on to complete the four year program at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, BC. I have practiced in both Victoria and Kelowna, and after 12 years of practice have decided to only offer Telemedicine so I can spend more time with my young family.

I have also completed training in Bowen therapy, Low Level Light (Laser) Therapy for pain, Neuro Emotional Technique, and Neural Therapy. I am a member in good standing with the College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC, the BC Naturopathic Association, and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and also have BC Prescription Rights.

I am committed to developing and complementing my knowledge by regularly attending seminars across North America. In addition to my family practice, I am an educational specialist for Factors Group of Nutritional Supplements, Inc., training health industry retailers and educating the public on many areas of health. I appear regularly as a guest on radio and television shows, host webinars, and provide health articles for various publications. In my spare time, I combine this passion with a commitment to educating on matters close to my heart. I am actively involved in saving Africa's wild elephants from extinction, and have volunteered in home building and medical care initiatives in North and South America.

When not seeing patients or travelling, I enjoy exploring our beautiful backyard whether it be hiking or surfing, with my husband, chiropractor Christian Brix, daughter Pippa, and English cocker spaniel, Matty.
